iOs 16 showcased first at WWDC in June earlier this year. The all new iPhone 14 line-up will arrive with iOS 16 in tow. Apple has finally began rolling out iOS 16 on its iPhones. This update is now available to users across India. The update will play up with lock screen, ability to edit and also work around with Messages, latest tools in the Mail along with more add-ons to interact using photos and videos thanks to Live Text plus Visual Look Up.
What iPhones will get iOS 16?
Apple announced earlier that this iOS 16 will come on its iPhone 8 series and iPhone X, XR, XS, XS Max, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max, SE (2020), and SE (2022). From seamless user change to customizing the wallpaper using swipe gestures, iOS 16 will help you do lot more. You can even change its tone or add up filters. More so, notifications will appear on lock screen and the users can access the same by swiping from bottom to top.

iMessage will also allow users to edit and then un-send messages. Apple said that users will be able edit a message until 15 minutes post sending it. An unsend option will be valid for until 2 minutes post sending a text. Additionally, Live Text too will see updation with this iOS 16 update. The former will now recognize text inside the videos across the entire system. In context of security too Apple will be adding a mode on named the Lockdown mode. It will be designed for protecting against spyware such as Pegasus.
