The academy is being launched with the aim of providing financial education that will empower the community. Also, the programme highlights Bitcoin as an important path to financial freedom.

People can take this course either in online mode or offline mode. The course will be taught by Najah J. Roberts, founder and CEO of Crypto Blockchain Plug, and Lamar Wilson who runs the content site Black Bitcoin Billionaire. The classes for the course will be held twice every week for three months. The classes will be starting in June till September. All the participants will be provided with MiFi devices, smartphones, as well a one-year data plan. Along with this, a weekend programme will also be held and will be called “crypto kids camp”. Jack Dorsey says that the programme is another way to prove that making powerful tools much available to people let them build greater independence.
Jay-Z and Jack Dorsey haven’t partnered for the first time
This time Jay-Z and Jack Dorsey have joined hands to launch a Bitcoin Academy. And this isn’t the first time that both of them are working together on something big. Back in 2021, Dorsey’s Block also acquired Jay Z’s streaming music service- Tidal. This was then prosed to be used as a vehicle for NFT distribution. Also, they both have been investing in blockchain start-ups including Alchemy which was launched in 2021 as an endowment for funding Bitcoin development in India and Africa.
