The predecessor to Nexus 5, the Nexus 4, which released last year in November, was made in collaboration with LG, only to stay ahead as one of the most popular and valuable Android smartphone till date. Ever since the Nexus 4 was launched, there were supply issues surrounding the device. Low price, stylish look and innovative features made the Nexus 4 a success. The handset took quite a while to reach the shelves all around the globe. However, Google pushed its production process and therefore the device is now available on Google Play Stores in various markets. Starting May this year, the Nexus 4 is now officially available in India. Considering other releases lined up for September, Apple is also likely to unveil the next-generation iPhone 6. September might also be the month for the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 3. In case Google also plans to disclose its Nexus 5 at about the same time, the search giant should be prepared for tough competition and must instill its next-gen device with top-end features to stay ahead in the race. If you think the iPhone 5 and Galaxy Note 3 were big, Apple and Samsung might have even bigger plans for the future iPhone 6 and the Galaxy Note 3. And in that case, Google will have to pull out something even bigger and better than its competitors. As such, no official announcement regarding the releases has been made by Google, Apple or Samsung. All we have to do is wait, until anything official is declared.
